In the 260 day Mayan Time Cycle called the Tzol'kin, each day is know by its Sign and Number.

20 Signs

There are 20 Signs that follow one another, counterclockwise, around the circle. Each day is named for,
and manifests the qualities of, its Sign:

a Dragon day,
a Wind day,
a Night day,
a Seed day, etc.

We get to know each Sign through experience, and by making associations with its name and image, as we live the qualities of its day. Which are already familiar to you? Which feel unknown or even strange? Can you remember days that have felt like these?

The Numbers

The Maya use dots and lines to express Numbers. The Number next to each Sign lets you know where we are in the 13-day Wave:

a 1 Dragon day,
a 2 Wind day,
a 3 Night day,
a 4 Seed day, etc.

The Numbers each have unique qualities too, that influence what aspects of the Sign will show up. A 4 Seed day will be different from a 12 Seed day.

The 13-Day Wave

The 13-day Waves move us around and around through the 20 Signs. 1 Dragon begins a wave that ends with 13 Skywalker. Then, 1 Wizard begins a new wave. The color of the spiral changes with the waves.

Each wave takes its name from the Sign that falls on the first day of the wave:

a Dragon wave,
a Wizard wave
a Hand wave
a Sun wave, etc.

We travel in the energy of that Sign for the entire 13 days. It sets the tone, and purpose, for the wave.
